Panoramas

I discovered the magic of making panoramas when experimenting with my iPhone. The panoramas on the iPhone are created using their video system, and I was amazed at the clarity of the image and the evenness of the lighting. After a great deal of trial and error, I came to believe that I could do serious work using the iPhone and started making images of the Victory Gardens in and around Concord, MA. I loved the sweep of color and undulating rhythms of vegetation in the longitudinal vegetable and flower beds. At the same time, I was spending winters in Vero Beach, Florida and turned my attention to the flat landscape, intense light, brilliant colors and richness of the vegetation. Finally, during a trip to Provence in 2023, I was drawn to the beauty of interior spaces in old building and chapels. The first two panoramas come from this series
